Nilssen's SuperValu has been in the community for over 50 years.
Nilssen's SuperValu continues to support and serve the Baldwin community.
Several employees assist in many areas of the Chamber
not readily visible. Employees have not only been active in attending
and participating in Chamber sponsored events, such as assisting in the
chicken stand, but also taken leadership responsibilities.
One employee is currently on the Board of Directors for
the Chamber, and another has been serving many years on the Queens
Committee.
Many fundraisers are held in the store’s parking
lot, including car washes and food stands. Other evidence of community
support exists in the form of donations of time and talent to local
service organizations, including Lions Club, coaching youth sports, and
supporting various fundraisers. They have built a portable building for
local clubs to use during their fundraisers.
Nilssens Super Valu provides full-time and part-time
jobs for a wide range of ages. They continue to improve their product
offering and services to meet the ever changing buying public.
Nickels for School
Nilssen's SuperValu gladly supports the Nickels for Schools program hosted by Kemps®.
In brief, the community can help schools by simply
enjoying the great taste of Kemps®. Buying
Kemps dairy products, with specially marked caps or
proof-of-purchase symbols can earn money for the things the school
needs. Each stickered milk cap or proof-of-purchase symbol is worth
5¢, which the school can turn into computers, books, art supplies
or anything else the school may need.
